Overseas Pakistanis condemn lawyers’ violent incidents

The lawyers’ violent incident was strongly condemned by overseas professionals

The violence perpetrated by lawyers in Islamabad on February 8, 2021 is a shameful act committed by those who were supposed to promote understanding and compliance with the law.

Pakistani professionals in Canada, a non-political organization, generally do not comment on Pakistani affairs. However, this is a case in which we, in the West, are deeply moved by the images of violence perpetrated by its educated class. Some may even call it social terrorism.

Such news will have a detrimental effect on professionals, including engineers, doctors, accountants, lawyers, scientists, businessmen and others who have gained it after decades of hard work.

We urge lawyers to find peaceful ways to resolve their issues, and not allow the government and the courts in Pakistan to continue to do so.
